In 1776, delegates from the thirteen colonies met in Philadelphia. The grouping chose Thomas Jefferson to write the Declaration of Independence. He wrote the beginning draft in 17 days. He worked alongside Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Robert R. Livingston and Roger Sherman to stop it.

The Constitution

A Growing Land
